Nere — Suitcase Set
Nere, a sub-brand of Australian luggage company Strandbags tasked us with designing a new lightweight luggage line. Standing out in a crowded market is challenging, but we identified a common issue with hard-shell suitcases: cracking during transit due to lack of structural integrity. Applying a scalloped pattern across the suitcase, using injection-moulded recyclable Polypropylene not only strengthened the suitcase by acting as external ribs but also allowed for reduced wall thickness, making the suitcase lighter and stronger.

My main role involved creating digital experiences on apps and mobile websites. When users tapped a connected physical product, they would be taken through a mobile experience that tied closely to their use case adding useful information or other benefits.
Many sources of air pollution are tied directly to urban cities. However, the level of information available on air quality is quite low, compromising how aware the public are to the dangers they face daily.
Existing solutions can provide information on air quality. However, current products have limits on how beneficial or easy to understand the information is.
For parent companies aiming to expand into new markets using connected packaging, I developed several branding visuals and art direction. Starting out with an initial story and a tone of voice, then bringing them to life through considered design
New product development was a key responibility in this role, starting out with unique ideas and developing them into fully fledged concepts through the design process.
